Metallica Kill 'em Alll was released by Megaforce on cd indeed. It is not a boot. I bought it many years ago and still have it. I think I got it in 1986, but it could have been released in 1985 or earlier. I can only say what I know from my own experience.
**edit I think I actually bought it in 88' as I was in high school when I got it

i own the 3 first CDs of Metallica on Music For Nations.
I have see Kill Em all on Megaforce many time ago

I own a copy as well and it's from 1986.

I have a couple of versions of Kill Em' All on cd, I'll have to dig them out.
