Bwahhhaha. Oh the meaning of the phrase was perfectly understandable. Thank you for my 2nd day of hearing another dumb statement

thanks to everyone else for the defense. Yes, by all means make your own judgement about this album. I know I have and I find it to be perfectly valid. If someone else likes it they of course have every right. I won't change my opinion.

I've refrained from opining on this thread because I had already publicly announced that I was really hot for this record. Well, that, and I haven't been on here much lately.

But since zabar's talking about taking shit personally, I have to admit I did feel a bit insulted by the original post. I love Wheelz of Steel precisely because it's a turd, and I'd cough up a few bucks for a vinyl copy. But to pretend that this is a rarity on a par with Leather Nunn or Graven Image is just bullshit.

Any collector knows that rarity isn't the only criterion for value: The other criterion is that someone has to give a shit. I spent $600 on my Leather Nunn record, not only because I love it, but also because I was confident it would hold its value. I think it's pretty clear from the response on here that the chump who would spend $600 on Wheelz of Steel would be the ONLY chump who would spend $600 on Wheelz of Steel.... and as bad as I wanted to grab the record, I'm not willing to be that chump.

For what it is, Wheelz of Steel is absolutely brilliant. But what it is is a curio, not a metal classic. I think a bit of honesty when describing a rarity you're trying to sell goes a long way.

Exactly beerandjesus, i'm quite sure i will like Wheelz of steel when i finally hear it, i've enjoyed many crap metal acts before to the point one can't easily imagine, but i'm also sure that it won't be the album that i will put next to Leather Nunn or Paradoxx on my collection.

Looks like it went for about $200. I'd really like to hear it, but not for that much.
