It was done by Horror Records (if I'm correct). Check the link:
http://www.horrorrecords.com/vinyl.htm
It seems there is also a gatefold LP edition now, didn't know that, for 13 euro you really can't go wrong with it

This is probably one of my top five wants at the moment. I'm bidding on the promo vinyl via Web Records on Ebay, Not really sure what I'll do as my max bid what do you guys think it should be worth? More than the usual Black vinyl or less? has no inner sleeve

The only reasonable bid on it is $666.66

'Metal From Hell' is probably the RAWEST Heavy Metal that I've ever heard. I don't own the LP 'cos I don't have that kind of money. I own the CD (Old metal records) and I must admit it's crap (I don't mean the music).
Love it or hate it. Me loves the album, period.
Now let's wait and see if the final winning bid of the Web's auction can surpass this one, hehe.

I finally bought a copy of this album - the Old Metal Records CD version. What's the deal with the bonus track? It's not listed. It seems to be an alternate version of "King Of Terror".

Don't like it too much either ... I dunno ... I definitely prefer the Jag Panzer and Titan Force-albums with Harry ...

I don't understand why people are always nagging about the sound. I like the sound, it's raw! It beats the hell out of the Ample Destruction sound. If 'Metal From Hell' were to have a sterile, clean and triggered production, it would SUCK!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree with you - a polished and studio-enhanced sound would not suit the music of Satan's Host. However, Dan is also correct in what he is saying about the mix of it, though for me that only reduces the enjoyment a tiny bit. From a ten out of ten to a nine, or something like that.

Fucking Åmål wrote:SATAN'S HOST were always an utter CRAP band.I think it is more crap than Killer Fox's First album

(As for the second LP of Killer Fox i say it is more than decent

) The only positive thing i recognize in them is that Harry Cocklin sang in the 1st album and cassett LP and was ahead of it's time about the lyrics and thematology. As for others the ''music'' is totally unhearable i wonder how people worship this band?
Ah and some trivia about Web records:
The ''label'' web records was in fact someone's guy who used the label to distribute drugs in the USA.Later of course he arrested and Web records closed down. What a romance!

It's a matter of taste !!

For me, it is an incredibly good and totally insane LP !! HAIL SATAN'S HOST !! Too bad now they do black metal... It is not that I have something against black metal but I would prefer they go on into that Old direction..

"metal from hell" fucking owns you all, period. as for the 'production', who cares?! i'll gladly take a recording with a unique vibe and feel over today's sterile powerless slick metal, BAH!
that said, has anyone on here heard the followup 'midnight winds'? is it as good? a buddy is trying to sell me a boot cd w/ both LPs; is the sound crap? if it skips around like that one FLAMES cd i probably won't pick it up..

there is no midnight wind release as such, what's going around the net is rehearsals that were never intended to be released.
it does sound better than MFH (production wise) but thats not hard to achieve
It's a masterpiece of course, even the half-done way we have it
but i wouldnt spend any money on it.mp3s will do in this type of case.

I think I would have loved this album if I would be able to hear it. I mean, I have it (re-issue LP), but it's not audible. Only sounds like blurry noise. Totally impossible to listen to. Worst mix ever, pretty much.
