i have to say guys, SARCOFAGO logo help a thousand of bands to sketch out thier logos.........

My favs logos are MANOWAR, Saxon, and Saint Vitus!!!!!!!!!

first of all, logos are very metal
as they are not that important in any other genre (maybe except for some hc/punk bands). on "other" records, it's mostly the cover design that defines the font of the band's name, in metal logos are trademarks! (strangely enough. i.e. BLACK SABBATH never had a constant logo over several albums..)
one of the greatest I believe has not been mentioned yet: POSSESSED! other great ones that come to my mind: SCORPIONS (discontinued!), DEATH, TESTAMENT, RUNNING WILD, ...
and I loved drawing ANTHRAX all over my school stuff back then
..
among the newer ones, I love the SATYRICON logo as it is not one of those unreadably scribbled "kvlt" BM writings..

ALL SABBAT (Jap.) logos - they are great, esp. the Fetishism one. And I remember looking for hours at the MAYHEM logo on the Deathcrush mini LP years ago. So perfect...

Well the VOIVOD logo is easily the best
but I also really like the ENSLAVED logo a lot too!
Other faves are:
SUFFOCATION
TANKARD
TROUBLE
TWISTED SISTER
RAZOR
UNLEASHED
DIO
RUSH (all of them over the years)
VAN HALEN
OZZY OSBOURNE all those classic bands is where it started!
etc...
Anyone ever notice the back of the FLOTSAM & JETSAM album HIGH with the tracklisting done in classic metal logos... about the only thing cool with that album
