maybe, but I don't like that much the METAL CHURCH post-David Wayne era ... But, I have to confess that I've only listen to the three first MC albums (and I have only listen to the third album once

Scorpions - In Trance
and indeed "Epitaph" by Priest, the greatest ballad ever written with Halford cutting Mercury from Queen on the vocal parts, easily...

If we can call it a ballad, though I hesitate to apply this term to HM groups, then 'Sarah Williams' from the 96 demo of Jacobs Dream is the ultimate, along with Fates Warning - 'Guardian'. Both have similar themes of obligation and redemption, and I credit them for giving me a moral compass in a time where I didn't know where to turn to find such.

Blessing In Disguise was the first album I heard from them and that was before I liked high vocals,It turned me off the band for many years until somebody told me their s/t was essential us metal, the same happened with fates warning I heard no exit first and it turned me off them for many years, were these albums popular or something? It seems those were the only albums my uncle had from either band and I know for a fact he didn't delve deep into the metal underground, I guess he could have had the other ones and they got stolen or something but it seems like these 2 albums had a different set of fans perhaps or were more heavily promoted anybody have any ideas?

Both of those albums were also an introduction to a new vocalist for each band.
That probably has something to do with it.
