I will agree ,but i listen to 100% of my albums.Especially a new album i
can listen a lot of times.

For me, I have one special record, that I can play over and over again, and never get bored. It's only getting better and better every single time I play it.

You constantly talk about the separation of Hard Rock and "Metal" and then post a list containing Rush and UFO albums among others?...

I'm an album guy and never skip songs when listening. To me, a song doesn't really mean anything when taken out of the album context. What's next, you browse through a track to get to the chorus because the rest of the song is shit?

Well fuck when RUSH and UFO first formed....they were good choices for Black Sabbath and Judas Priest, fanatics. (the average user for this website should be between the ages 55 when 70's metal started and 45. Like I am when 1980's metal started).
Even though I have mellowed with age, and still worship RUSH and UFO, because I worship Watchtower and Mercyful Fate. I still get the fastest and hardest of death and black metal, because I never stopped worshiping Venom/Celtic Frost/ Possessed/ Insanity/ Repulsion/ Death/ Morbid Angel.
I have the true metal line at Venom/ Motorhead (ie heavy metal) and the false metal line at Motley Crue/ Ratt (ie hard rock even if some of those bands play fast). And there is a huge grey area between those points.
If you just get rid of those genre lines, then why not just go in a record store blind folded, spin around 20 times and hope you find Jaguar's "Power Games" and not "Think This" or Metallica's "Kill em all" instead of "Load".
For me Iron Maiden was a excellent metal band, but not really metallic enough for my personal taste, which created a marketplace for publications such as Kick Ass Monthly and Snakepit Heavy Metal France.
This place has a slogan about the war on metallic modernism, but when I was a kid and teenager there was no Korn, Machine Head, Rage against the machine, but the only analogy band for those kind of Corporate rock were the bands on MTV, like Motley Crue, Dokken, Ratt.
You can not afford to be that stupid not to know those who started with heavy metal between 1970 and 1980, would not have a RUSH and UFO LPs on the best of the best OR everyday listing list. Because with 1980's hero's Mercyful Fate and Metallica, those bands mentioned them as hero's.
Support the best of the best and fuck the rest....funny this concept escapes so many heavy metal record collectors.

That's the most retarded post of yours yet. I don't even know where to start. First of all, those Rush albums are all from the 80's way after the band was formed. The average age here is between 20-40. The Jaguar album you are looking for is "THIS TIME" not "Think This" and no one gives a fuck about "Kick Ass Monthly".
Your post makes zero sense.

Wow....Rush THE SUBJECT IS WHAT FUCKING ALBUMS DO YOU LISTEN TO YEAR IN A YEAR OUT....Everyday listening habits of albums with no filler tracks (ie not lifting the needle to skip a filler track), ie albums you can listen to from start to finish non-stop).
So RUSH is on my list as a 80's metal fan since I started to listening to heavy metal in 1980. Heavy metal fans from 1980 like them alot because at this point there is no Raven, Anvil, Tank, with vinyl out in 1980.
Ha....Back in the 80's if you slap to magazines together one called Metal Forces and one called Kick Ass monthly. You have our VERSION (80's metal fan) of the internet. ala huge databases...
Alot of webzines are ran by those with not a love of heart and soul for heavy metal, and alot of them disband, and die due to lack of interest. So that makes metal magazines even that more important.
You may not like heavy metal magazines, but I love the whole 1980's era, because I was there, and I think it is funny you would slag such a obvious original source, such as kick ass monthly. The Heavy Metal genre had its biggest supporter, with the most correct insights of the genre.
Oh I thought this was a 1980's metal worship place like Snakepit Magazine, and not expect to many 20-40 year-olds, who support traditional metal not to know about the importance of heavy metal fanzines.

Welcome to the world of google metal and paypal steel!
Here you'll find 25-something internet metal masters who discovered Agent Steel through a Rapidshare link in 2005, who never went to a metal show in their life and who'll see it fit to call you out for forgetting the title of a Jaguar album everyone reasonable would want to forget.

Oh, you know me so well!
Out of curiosity mordred how old are you?
And just to add, anyone talking about shows that lives in europe is completely ignorant.

I'm only 29 and I didn't hear Agent Steel until maybe 2001 so there was a good portion of self irony in there as well. The actual point that intentionally wasn't expressed too clearly is 1) that it's retarted to get into online bullying of an old fart just because he's a little redundant and has trouble in getting a point across and 2) you might want to consider that even though your tongue may be sharper than his it doesn't necessarily make your wisdom seem infinite when trying to lecture him.

Thank you for your sensible statement P-O! I was thinking along the same lines yesterday but found my pen wasn't sharp enough so I didn't bother.
