The opening riff on the almighty Black Sabbath's "black sabbath" beats everything EVER made.. period.
then we have "satanic lust" from INRI, Pagan Altar's "Time Lord", Mercyful Fate's "The Oath", Mayhem's "De mysteriis dom sathanas" and a million more.. thats a few AMAZING opening riffs..

An odd one that just finished playing is KREATOR's version of the JUDAS PRIEST classic 'grinder'. I've never been into KREATOR, but I love the way they do that song

That's MM 5, which also has another killer riff in the beginning of Metal Church's "The Brave" - just awesome...
