ABBA is "irksome" period. I've never understood the huge following over in Europe, especially from collectors of very different genres. I guess everyone has guilty pleasures though.

I hope Denis from Setninel Steel doesn't hear you. ABBA is one of his favorite bands , and a guilty pleasure of mine too, to be honest. Although I'm more like a casual "Best Of" fan than anything serious.

Very bad stuff yes, mostly because of the girl "singing" - she's got this EXTREMELY annoying voice, like a nagging, senile, 90-year old hag. It's possible it could have been quite interesting w/ a different vocalist, but as Rob also hinted on the music and production is so primitive it's hard to tell if they really intended to play Metal or Hard Rock. It's not impossible they did though. The lyrics are pretty typical HR/HM lyrics and the music doesn't really fit into any other form of underground/alternative rock that was popular at the time either.

Anyway, since it's not as "funny"-bad as for instance KUSTER or THE PREACHERS there's absolutely no reason what so ever to go hunting for it. I got my own copy via eBay ages ago out of curiosity after having read about it in some old MonsterRec.-catalog.

Even worse crap to come. Stay out of tune...

I'm reminded of something funny this spring. A copy of this was at a local record show, I mentioned to the dealer that I hadn't seen one for awhile and such a pity that it sucks so bad. Well a punk collector friend saw the record and asked me about it, figuring I must know it. I said sure, stay away at all costs, but it is a scarce record and $20...so he bought it AND liked it! You can never tell...
