The riffs are still there, the solos are still there, the synth, the demented vocals... the songs are still there, which is all I really care about. If I feel in the mood to listen to the lo-fi demos with Dave Halliday on vocals, I will simply revert back to the demos, but I can't see that happening very often, at least not while I'm enjoying the album so much.

It's simply a killer metal album.
I couldn't have put it better. The music of HELL deserves a good, clear production (they never were a Venom/Medieval/Hellhammer filthy, lo-fi kind of band..) and I the demo tracks of these songs feel slightly less important now.

I recently did The Evil Deed of downloading the album too, but I'm not feeling bad about it, since I'm buying it anyway in the next few weeks (just looking for the best/cheapest source..)

So you did discover the album is out then? Since you missed the super amazing greatness of the Spectral Incursion Anthology completely I'm surprised you noticed.

The material may not be for a venom like murky approach, but a beer needs alcohol too. Some of the songs on this albums taste a little too much like light beer to hit the right spot.

For all us non-US customers, is there a way for us to get a poster?
Dont be jealous, NB USA only carries the single CD version. Both 3LP and 2CD sets are "out of stock"... what an useless store!
apparently, they now stock both the 2CD and 3LP versions

I've listened to it yesterday and the good, clean production ruined the charm Hell had for me. It's not really my style of metal at all. It's shitty because I really wanted to like this.

Darn, I figured what happened - NBUSA started a "Memorial Day" sale mere hours after my order was placed - bastards!

Is there anywhere in the UK stocking the 2CD digipak version? I nearly completed my order via Nuclear Blast but then found the fuckers want another 10 euros to post it to me...
