Haha, great reminder. It has to be. I hope I traced one by that time.

Hmmm, let's say that the majority of the members here didn't grow up with BURZUM and DARKTHRONE. I think it should be obvious if one tries to read the first 100 (or so) reasons of this thread...

This is not exactly a forum where church burning black metal bands with indecipherable logos are held in high regard.

Actually I read through every reason, so as not to use duplicates. I quite enjoyed most of it, as I'm a fan of ALL metal really...
Oh well, I suppose I'll just head back to MA, their metal spectrum is a little more broad than the one used here.
Cheers to you guys though \m/

I take it you didn't check out the Corroseum website. If we wanted to talk broad metal spectrums we'd all be on a MA(or similar forums).

Well I'd assumed that at least the first wave of black metal might be acceptable discussion. I have seen several Bathory mentions

Indecipherable black metal logos, church burning and "bone-chilling high pitched screams following an acoustic break in a good black metal song" aren't related to first wave of Black Metal, but to "inner circle" (and post "inner circle") Black Metal. Otherwise it wouldn't have been a problem.

Hmm, I see, I see..
well my only other question then would be the Dissection reference (#25),
what makes them an acceptable black metal band?
Sorry to have derailed your list thread btw

Actually as far as I'm concerned the high pitched scream after an acoustic break or indecipherable black metal logos I can agree with (though I prefer decipherable logos) but I disagree with that church burnings are 'METAL \m/'. Still I wouldn't strike any of these things off of such a list and I am a bit baffled by that they where by Dan.

Actually I agree with Dan, and I know why the Dissection reference was acceptable while these other ones weren't. I just can't find the proper way to express my ideas in english without getting too confusing. I hope Dan or someone else who speaks english better than me can explain it. We don't wan't to "scare you away" nor try to make you stop listening to Black Metal by any means, just that it doesn't quite fit with the taste of 90% of the members. I hope you keep coming to this board.
