Actually I read through every reason, so as not to use duplicates. I quite enjoyed most of it, as I'm a fan of ALL metal really...

I take it you didn't check out the Corroseum website. If we wanted to talk broad metal spectrums we'd all be on a MA(or similar forums).

Indecipherable black metal logos, church burning and "bone-chilling high pitched screams following an acoustic break in a good black metal song" aren't related to first wave of Black Metal, but to "inner circle" (and post "inner circle") Black Metal. Otherwise it wouldn't have been a problem.

well my only other question then would be the Dissection reference (#25),
what makes them an acceptable black metal band?

Actually as far as I'm concerned the high pitched scream after an acoustic break or indecipherable black metal logos I can agree with (though I prefer decipherable logos) but I disagree with that church burnings are 'METAL \m/'. Still I wouldn't strike any of these things off of such a list and I am a bit baffled by that they where by Dan.

Actually I agree with Dan, and I know why the Dissection reference was acceptable while these other ones weren't. I just can't find the proper way to express my ideas in english without getting too confusing. I hope Dan or someone else who speaks english better than me can explain it. We don't wan't to "scare you away" nor try to make you stop listening to Black Metal by any means, just that it doesn't quite fit with the taste of 90% of the members. I hope you keep coming to this board.
