Very easy
First press: black pictured cd (this one

Second press: normal cd (the one sold by the Banana, who knows his stuff very well... "2nd press cd released in 1989 on Atom-H")
Third press: normal cd + barcode number

Cool...is that also the case with other Atom H Protector cd releases? That the first press is a black cd?

The first and only Atom H press of Shah is like that too.
I think only these two exist as black cds, the others (2 x Accuser & Protector, STS8 Mission) are all normal silver.

Seems like this album getting more and more popular. I glad i found this some years earlier for much less price.

The CD physically is very rare, i read somewhere about quantity of just 300 copies were made and personally i see it for sale just a second time during few years.

This is unreal for such a "common" CD at least in Germany...was happy the last years to sell the copies (10?) for 25 €...wow, but those times are probably over now concerning finding it and pricing it

a matter of popularity against availability, as always... not always the rarest CDs are the most expensive.
You have to admit though, the music is very good on this one, technical death-thrash but focused on speed and aggression, not on showing off technical abilities of the band.
