Just recently here in this forum threads have been ressurected that were inactive for several months. I have to say that I didn't see those same auctions posted before I posted mine but nevertheless my links will keep all their content and info when the direct ebay links will take visitors to an empty page.
There is a difference between a forum topic where there is a broad discussion taking place about a general topic and a single auction that has no relevance to anything other then to make you laugh at how much money some people are willing to drop on certain items.

250$ ?! Ok this is plain STUPID !

http://www.ebay.it/itm/VISITOR-S-T-ORG- ... 53ed07880c

Posted this not really for the price, but for the description (quite funny :D !)

"ORG 2nd press cd self-released in 1993,10 tracks.
Cult US heavy metal! This is the second press(from 1994?)
Matrix code is: VISITOR 8/94 IDAL"

There's only ONE original press Stephan, and that part of the matrix is 1DA1 not IDAL

A member of the band told him that the first press was the one with the SMI160 etc. matrix. I guess the band knows better than you.

I don't know maybe 500. But I saw 2 of those the last months from empty air (around $50-$60 as I can recall) & from recordjunky ($49.99 or best offer sold immediately) way less than the 2nd press which you can find very easy in Japan. In any case $140 is crap.

Kind of the opposite of insanely high ebay price:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... true&rt=nc

- It might not be a 'collector's band', but still, the usual individual price for some of their earlier material is 15-25 a piece, maybe more depending on the seller.

That price doesn't surprise me. The band sucks.

You are traing to say that CD collectors have statistically worse musical taste than Vinyl collectors? Or that rare collector Vinyl items are statistically better musically than rare CD collector items?
