Re: Cover variations / Different Covers (Vinyl only)
Would be interesting to know why some of these variations exist, what the considerations were behind them and wether the bands got a say in the final designs. Always wondered for example why the French Bernett Records label chose to have alternate covers for Battleaxe's 'Burn This Town' & Tank's 'This Means War'. I'm sure they released a couple of other records with sleeve variations too.
I cannot, I shall not, I will not obey.

Yes, other Bernett Records variations that comes in mind now are METALLICA - RIDE THE LIGHTNING and VIRGIN STEELE - GUARDIANS OF THE FLAME. TOKYO BLADE - TOKYO BLADE has some extra writings on it. Also VENOM first two has some publicity mentioned on the frontcover by ENFER MAGAZINE. If there are more...bigfootkit wrote:Would be interesting to know why some of these variations exist, what the considerations were behind them and wether the bands got a say in the final designs. People tend to say that the green cover of the RIDE THE LIGHTNING is a misprint but i think it's just a cover variation and not a misprinted cover just because Bernett Records made cover variations.
