IRON ANGEL

"Hellish Crossfire" never turned me on, for some unknown reasons.

The unknown reasons is that you prefer Bay-area thrash or technical thrash metal.

I don't like Diamond Head due to Sean Harris' vocals and most of the stuff of Pantera sounds boring.

I'm not too fond of technical stuffs of any kind (with the exception of some musicians, like Schuldiner). As for Bay-Area Thrash, yep I like that a lot, but I don't know if it is the real reason, cause I do like some german Speed Metal.

Herkus Monke: I never listened to this one. Maybe one day.

As for PANTERA/EXHORDER, it's funny because I like some PANTERA (cowboys, vulgar and far beyond mainly) and I really think that PANTERA have been influenced by EXHORDER (we should say they've stole them haha) when they became to sound like "groove thrash/power metal", but I never liked EXHORDER...

You ought to definitely give another spin to "Hellish Crossfire". It might sound humdrum and the vox is not to everyone`s liking, but the record as a whole is a grower, believe me.

I love the 1st album... what a energy bomb. Havent heard the original recording though, would be cool if it will be released on some format too.

Yep that's the vocals that annoy me a bit. I'll give another chance...

Iron Angel doesn't even play Thrash for the most part...

borrel: I think you are not alone.
I've only heard the "Raging Violence" and never bothered to check out the rest.

I've never been able to sit down with a Pantera record, but what I've heard I loathe.
