Is the real Black Dragon pressing or just the recently released bootleg.
Non-urgent CD Inquiries (2012) READ THE FIRST POST
Question about Mortal Sin Mayhemic Destruction. Is this an official release? if yes, circa when it was released? it says remastered on the back insert - 100% not a 80s press:

Second question, does this issue exist?: http://www.musik-sammler.de/media/165858 if yes, is it official and when it was released?

The only legit issue that I know of was released by the band in 2007.

One my "casual" (non-collector) Metal friends recently received a batch of semi-rare stuff from an older relative who turned out to be a collector of metal on CD. One of the records was Liege Lord "Freedom's Rise" and I would want the opinion of the Corroseum is this the genuine Black Dragon 1996 pressing:

Sorry for the quality of the scans - this is what my friend could provide me with. If you click on the pictures it will zoom in on them if this is a problem.
From my end of the deal it looks like the genuine article. I once had this CD and it looked very similar as far as matrix positioning and type goes.

It looks good to me Zdan ... but I don't have the original to compare with, so I can't be 100% sure.
I need help from Living Death "Killing in action" original cd owners, do these photos look good to you ?

That "2" in the opposite side of the matrix doesn't look that good to me ^^

Looks legit to me as well Zdan, as far as I know bootleggers have not managed to duplicate SID-Codes yet. (IFPI L035 that you see above the matrix)
And it's not a random code either, MPO have the range L032-L039 for their master-disc stampers. And that SID-Code represents the stamper the master was created in. There are also SID-Codes that represent the stamper the disc itself was made in, but those codes are engraved into the plastic ring when present.

Based on the fact that the matrix looks exactly like in those russian boots, the original sonopress matrix font is much thinner and also based on the fact that I had the original, but I sold it because I didn't like itHelstar wrote:Thanks dude ... based on ? (just out of curiosity eh, I trust you !)

Take any sonopress CD from your collection, look at the matrix and you should see for yourself.

Good to know. My friend will probably get rid of this CD - it is not much to his liking. He is a casual metal person (Metallica, Iron Maiden, Slayer, Accept etc.) and he dislikes the vocals. I will probably pick it up in due time cause I do not have a copy myself.Avenger wrote:Legit.Zdan wrote:One my "casual" (non-collector) Metal friends recently received a batch of semi-rare stuff from an older relative who turned out to be a collector of metal on CD. Does anyone own the original Slaughter Lord - Thrash til Death CD? I bought this CD recently, but I`m wondering if that might be a fake. On the matrix side I found (among others) the producer`s webpage address (www.mobineko.com), which looks a bit unusal to me, especially seeing this album was released in 1998.
