Muskelrock 2013
In my opinion this line-up is quite pedestrian for all the bullshit hype that was caused due to the stupid secrecy gimmick.Chafe wrote:Vampire, Dead Lord, Attic, Procession, ARIA, Wytch Hazel, Purson, Antichrist, Zone Zero, Imperial State Electric, Quartz, Nifelheim, MURO, Amulet, Torch, Solstice, Witch Cross, Dark Quarterer, In Solitude.
Now the secret lineup doesn't sound so bad for future Muskelrocks, right?
Nothing can compare with the bands KIT is bringing in.

Are you the tyrant, who cast them to the sea?

Back from Muskelrock and it was pretty much the best festival I ever went to as far as the gigs went. Aria and Dark Quarterer were mindblowing and completely destroyed all the bands that played KIT this year. Muro, Zone Zero, Procession and Solstice also played pretty much perfect gigs.
The continued absence of "US steel" at Muskelrock is very refreshing and hopefully they keep it that way. Leave that to the greeks and germans.

I was a bit disappointed in the lineup to be honest - not a patch on KIT. In Solitude aren't a headline act in my eyes, and Aria played for far too long, with about 6 people in the crowd actually knowing any of the choruses. Solstice, Attic and Dead Lord ruled, but for sheer fun at a festival, Muskelrock is hard to beat - it's such a good laugh.
Barbarion were the band of the festival by a fucking mile too - funniest thing I've seen in a long time, check them out!

And as Khnud said... Jex was out of this world... and took me to that mystical place she was. Fucking amazing.
A pleasure also to meet Dark Stranger there!

The thing about this festival is that apart from the bands they offer a whole weekend in paradise.Oliver/KIT wrote:Honestly for a ticket price of 75 Euro I find it quite dissappointing..
I guess the point it's quite different from KIT or others. When I go to KIT I really want to see legends or bands that I cannot see anywhere else.
Here you have the camping, the lake, the music tent aftershow which I loved... so having "bigger" or "smaller" bands doesn't mean everything.
I don't think 75€ it's expensive for this festival
