In addition to the spines being cut, aren't the booklets of the "new" copies only two pages instead of three? I've owned several of these as well, but never one with the full booklet.

Crap! I need that one. This is the problem of being limited to 100 saved searches. Stuff keeps slipping through all the time.

Genius!

So that's why the Germans/Swiss always get the best stuff, always thinking outside the box

I'm pretty sure that's not allowed.

It's not only allowed, ebay even encourages its members to do so, because more accounts means more "members" means higher prices for advertisements means more money for ebay...

Yeah, I went through their rules and saw that they allow it. Thanks.

I've got 3 ebay accounts, 2 of which are strictly for "saved searches". I thought I had to have a different email address for them though.

I bought 2 sawblade copies & another regular (came w/ incomplete back insert) from Dave's auctions in the past years ... I guess he's just keep on pressing more or perhaps he's got hundreds of those left from the past :)
The CD I've bought comes with a sticker and one of the side parts of the back insert is missing. Matrix code is "1/1C1013A00558 MANUFACTURED BY AMERICAN HELIX E8082-2". Surely an original and smells like a very old press.

So this is one of the "regular" versions right? I don't really understand what a "sawblade" copy is. a cut out?

The sawblade copy, has a replica blade from a circular saw glued to the back of the jewel case. It was a promotional item.

Your copy is the same as all Dave has sold. The real question is, does it have a 2 page booklet or a 3 page booklet? The "real" originals have a 3 page booklet afaik.

I think that the discs are original and he had a bunch sitting in a box somewhere, but printed new inserts for them. The new copies feel extremely cheap, very thin paper and generally poor quality.

It has a 2 page booklet ( a booklet with an odd number of pages? how is it stapled together?) The paper quality is... average. Why the hell couldn't he have printed the back insert correctly, without the spine missing?
