The clear jewel case tray does not inspire confidence, along with this sellers habit of selling bootlegs. He/she used to sell tons of Spectrum of Death/Destruction System CDs, and others that were probably bootlegs of bootlegs. You never know though, look who you bought your Equinox from

I just got a CD of Assassin's "Upcoming Terror" which is a cheap 2008 reissue that seems to be a bootleg (cheap, non-existent booklet, no barcodes or anything but it's a real silver CD). It says Ago Media/Acido Producciones. Anybody knows anything about this?

And yet another one:

There seems to be quite a lot of these bootlegs.

It was sealed (which doesn't mean too much probably) and should have cost 13 Euros. I didn't buy it, since I forgot about it BUT I wonder if this copy was legit or if the Globus version was ever bootlegged?
Any information would be welcome.
Thanks!
I saw that one too, but that guy had many more bootlegs in his shelves. I did not checked it very carefully, but it was probably a bootleg or reissue.

What is the differences between the reborn classics "original' bootlegs and the bootlegs of the bootlegs?

Yeah whatever... The cd is exactly the same except of the matrix. My matrix is CDP-BERLIN 85-7568 01 & yours is CDP-BERLIN 85
Funny huh?
Strange...
However, it's not a good sign that there are no lyrics in your "booklet", plain white inner is never a good sign. And for the matrix, well, that's quite easy for bootleggers. Today I got a cd which surely is a bootleg but has an MCA matrix (Femme Fatale - Same CD). So I wouldn't give too much just about the matrix.
About the Hittman CD I can 100% for sure say that I have an original, since I bought it back when it came out and in a very reliable shop. Bootlegs weren't very common then.
There actually IS a Hittman bootleg circulating but I don't know much about it. I have seen it on some "Metalbörsen" but never looked at it closer. So I can't say anything about your CD.
I didn't say something about your copy, ok? I know that white inner is suspicious that's why I asked about the cd. But the matrix of yours is suspicious as well. For example Sortilege's - metamorphose spv/mid price series original is : CDP-BERLIN 04-7540 02 same type as mine's. Bootlegs were common for such known titles, I have some Angel Dust boots which I bought 15 years ago... But back then they weren't bad Greeks to blame on them...
Thanks for your help.
My copy is exactly the same as Nebuchadnezzar's. heavymetalmaniac, does your copy have an IFPI Code? Want to take a closer look at the clear center ring?

How can you believe a seller who as Stone S/T MCA first press !!! (ye, and I am Santa !) at 99$ ? Not even the real first press on Megamania sells that high btw ! lol

Are you talking about the MCA/Mechanic press? Both were actually released the same year. The difference is that the Mechanic press was intended for the US market and the Megamania press the European.

My copy does not have any IFPI code. I have a friend, who also has the Hittman CD, I will ask him, if his copy has lyrics. He bought it around the same time as I did.
If I remember correctly, someone wrote that IFPI codes were printed from the middle of the nineties but this CD was bought end of the 80's, early 90's. So there can't be an IFPI code. Maybe on later pressings?
Edit:
One of the two guys I asked about the CD just replied. He bought his copy 2nd hand some years ago and he's sure he has an original. His booklet does NOT contain lyrics, so it's just plain white. Strange but true. So maybe there are different Steamhammer/ SPV pressings, some contain lyrics, some not... .

I'm aware of that but alot of people claims to have first pressings and then it turns out that the CD has an IFPI Code meaning that it is a repress. I've done some asking around myself and it seems that your copy is the black sheep, so that's why I asked.

If my copy is the black sheep, it would mean that Steamhammer/ SPV issued a bootleg as first pressing then?
The shop where I bought it is 100% trustful while I'm not sure where exactly I bought it but must have been Saturn (Cologne, since this was the first and only existing one back then) or ELPI (Cologne or Leverkusen). All of them are not known for selling bootlegs (although Saturn did when they sold these crappy Live Bootlegs for example of AC/ DC and Metallica years back).
I bought it short after I bought the vinyl, which must have been - like I said - end of the 80s beginning of the 90s.
Strange if a bootleg would include lyrics and an original would not. I can only assume that there are different pressings of this CD? It's not unknown that SPV did repress some of their CD's without any further notes. The only way to identify them are small details like later IFPI codes and things like this.
However, it's an interesting matter. If there are more details coming up, please let me know!
