My Autopsy hole is good, but I have that problem with many other records, pretty shittyNoisenik wrote:@ Sentinel
Sten, I remember to possess the Autopsy Mental pic once. I had to widen the hole to put it on the turntable and get it down afterwards. It was pretty unplayable overall.

I read a study recently that seems to imply the opposite - the more one spends on an item, the greater the enjoyment one gets out. Can't say that applies to me though - I get a great kick out of having found a mint copy of *In battle there is no law* for about 50pence sterling haha!nightsblood wrote: i don't know that I could get hundreds of dollars of enjoyment form a single record, no matter how good and/or rare it is.

Interesting, though that certainly doesn't apply to mePiotr Sargnagel wrote:I read a study recently that seems to imply the opposite - the more one spends on an item, the greater the enjoyment one gets out. I hear you! Poverty makes you relish the thought of getting even one or two records and finding a bargain is always nice! I can't ever imagine being obsessive enough to spend hundreds of euros on an item of music - it's quite crazy really. At the end of the day I don't care if it's a re-release or whatever, as long as I can hear the music, see the packaging/cover art! It's why I go into music in the first place! Not to become poor with loads of rare records locked into a closet.

I would put these in "Recent Metal Finds" (i mentioned them there) but everyone posted their pictures are in this thread so I figured I might as well leave them here.

Well if the Metal Archives weren't down (as usual) we could probably look up some of the lineups of these bands.Noisenik wrote:Can you post some bands line-ups? Of course, we will be more than pleased if sth of this will eventually get "published" you-know-where. Cheers!

Hi everyone,
Thanks for the compliments on the stuff! I havent added stuff to M-A in a while, but as of right now the lineups for Mutant Soldier, Severe Warning, Nitefall, Sacred Heart, Seductive Blasphemy, Sinister, SSA and a bunch of others are up. Unfortunately the info is very often not 100% accurate...such as with Paralyser. The lineup on the inside of "Convicted" has all the band members names intentionally spelled wrong (Don Fose, Eric Berris, etc). I have all the lineups to the "Distant Thunder" bands and "Convicted To The Avant Garde" bands, some other info on some of them. Its just that a lot of it is inaccurate (sometimes intentionally, sometimes not). I can type out all the lineups but I need to get the tapes out again and I recently packed up a bunch of my stuff to move it and Im not completely sure what boxes theyre in. I can have the information typed out, it just might take a while.
The Cleveland scene was huge, and way more then 50% of the bands went completely unnoticed. There is an endless amount of undiscovered "gems" from that area, especially because no one really "researched" the scene like people today have done with Sweden, the UK, Texas, and a lot of other places. Another thing that makes it irritating is that its a very "incestuous" scene. Its like everyone was in everyone elses band at some point. Connections to the Underground Express web-of-obscure-bands can be found all over the place, but theres really no way of knowing where. For example, Ive been in touch with a guy who played guitar in the EXTREMELY early rehearsal days of Terror (everyone else except for Brian and one other person from that era is dead...long story). I just recently learned from a completely unrelated source that he was in an obscure band with multiple ex-members of MADDOXX (i had no idea so I never thought to ask him about them before)!
Fuck, I have to go now, or Im going to be late for work. Ill type more on this stuff later.

Dude, whenever you will have time. If it's next year or 2010, no problem. It will surely be fine to read out more anytime in near to mid future. Cheers!BloodOfChrist wrote:Hi everyone,
