Please someone upload this ""Terror'll Come Tonight" if anyone has it!omen of hate wrote:I've came accross a DEMENTIA two-tracks demo "Terror'll Come Tonight" released in 1987. IF YOU ARE FALSE DO NOT ENTRY, OR YOU WILL BE BURNED AND DIED
I actually have 2 copies of that dementia demotape.
I also had no info about the release because it doesnt list anything on the j-card other than the name of the band and 2 track titles. So i asked Ommy about it and he gave me some info.
i have the mail somewhere, but from what I can remember it was their final release and has the same line up as Bang Hard. it was released in 1987 shortly before their breakup.
Vo. Geess
G. Hally
G. Ommy
B. Toki
Ds. Shindo
I was able to get copys of the original DAT master tape from Ommy himself but he didnt want me to put them on the computer. Japanese people are usually shy like that about their old bands.

It's the same band. I have their MATERIALS cd. After that one they started to play some lame alternative/new wave crap. There's one extra song on that virus demo tape from a band Distoma btw. Did it come along by mistake?

Has anyone heard anything by japanese bands VELLE WITCH and GYPSY ROSE?
The song titles and overall feeling of these obscure demo bands makes me think of evil metal in vein of CROWLEY so I'm very interested about these.

There's some info about Gypsy Rose in the end of this page (small pics of demo covers, song titles etc.) and despite their aor-ish band name, they look pretty interesting to me. Especially that EVIL METAL text under the first tape is thrilling. At least if it's meant to describe their sound

Does someone know the dates to these? And is that 1st demo 01 really the first? There's not much info about their demo tapes online. Some pages say that iminzoku came out in '87 and some say it's '88.anthares wrote: Virus - Iminzoku

Thanx anyway for the tapes. I've listened to these for a while now and I like them both. I think the demo versions of some songs they later put in MATERIALS cd are even better than the album versions.

yes the "first" one really is the first. it actually doesnt have a name. just Virus. i'm pretty sure it came out in 1986.
the lineups for the 1st and 2nd demotape are:
Vo.Hiro、Gt.Satoru、Ba.Noboru、Dr.Yotta
Vo.Hiro、Gt.Satoru、Ba.Noboru、Dr.Takayoshi
oh. and i dunno where the info about Virus becomming Distoma came from.
Distoma were a much smaller band who are a friends of a friend of mine. they wernt anyone special.
However, many of the members of Virus went on to form a band called DNA together while 2 others formed Velvet Endroit.
Virus had kind of a revolving door when it came to members. past players include guys like Dean from Aion/Mein Kamph/Syxx, and Kiyoshi who was in such huge bands as Media Youth and hide with Spread Beaver.
One of the first bass players, Ikuzo, is now part of the mainstream rock/hip hop band Dragon Ash. musically they remind me of 311. And of course Satoru is famous for being the guy kicked out of X (XJapan) right before they became HUGE.
all that being said. i'm pretty sure none of the members were even in Distoma.

Also, VIRUS drummer later went to be in AION starting with the Absolute CD. The only stuff I heard from VIRUS was stupid new wave crap so I never even bothered to hear their old stuffsabbat666 wrote:yes the "first" one really is the first. it actually doesnt have a name. just Virus. i'm pretty sure it came out in 1986.
