dont think so, unless one of the best heavy metal songs ever written turns out to be a ballad, which is not logic at all

Has anyone heard Maninnya Blade`s Raven? It is an absolutely awesome semi-ballad (half of the song is slow and dark, the other one is much faster) made in the mid 80s that never got vinylized. Absolutely recommended.
Also, I am pretty shore that "the Sorcerer" by Lords of the Crimson Alliance has already been mentioned in this thread, but seeing it is one of the best ballads I have ever heard it deserves to be praised more. Don`t even tell me you don`t get gooseskin when you listen to it.
