If you look at this sellers other "Schlager" LP's he only wants 19,99 $ postage but why 93 $ for Ambush??

THEATRICS 7" = First time on eBay = Madness. But it's also insanely rare ,because no big stock found ( This one is 5th copy if I count right ) . John Haupt had 2 copies , 1 mine , 1 in Patriks possesion and this one on eBay right now.

When this copy was sold on ebay about 2 years ago, it brought almost $800 with multiple bidders > $500. No, I wouldn't pay anything like this amount for a cracked record, but some folks will as long as the record still plays. This is being sold by a reputable seller; if he says it plays, then it plays.

You can of course hold out for a copy in better condition- I think there are 3-4 nicer copies known to exist, so finding one should be no problem at all

It's easy to scoff at something in poor condition selling for a lot, but you have to factor in its rarity. For someone who doesn't just want mp3s or a reissue, there are very few copies in ANY condition. FYI three copies have been posted on ebay in the 2 years since this copy sold. The first two copies brought over $500 each and went to collectors, so those copies are off the market. The third copy had a rather suspect-looking listing with a high ($1,000) asking price; TMK it never sold.

And the Theatrics listing should be fun to watch. Pretty good single as I recall.

I never said I don't like it. Only that I don't need it (for such a price)! Big difference ... can buy a ton of obscure local pressings with 666 songs featured instead of 2 short cuts while one of them just being average.

Were the copies you've seen (and yours) gatefold or not gatefold?
'Cause maybe it reached this price because it is the rarer gatefold edition.

Didn't know there's a non-gatefold version as all copies I've seen had the gatefold sleeve ...
