It doesn't seem very practical to be honest though not from a seller or buyer point of view. I'll believe it when I see it.

What do you mean converting to a non-auction site?

Where does this info come from?

Is it going to only be all "Buy It Now" style?
Indeed. I saw it on some other forum. I think it was posted originally on some recent eGay bulletin board as one of their plans for the future or something. Starting from September there will be huge reductions on the insertion fees for "buy it now" which effectively should make auction style obsolete.

eBay is also going to make PayPal the only accepted payment option which undoubtedly will create some great scammer-chargeback opportunities for adventurous buyers from exotic places with terrible postal services... I dont know how a seller can handle this, unless they either restrict to buyers with confirmed paypal addresses only (less than 15% of all paypal users), or restrict to selling only to selected contries...

I'm so glad I started moving my focus to Amazon already
That's bullshit, PayPal is garbage and has the most useless customer support that I've ever seen.

Paypal is a decent system in ways, I've been using eBay since the beginning and lost many a dollar to ripoff artists in faraway countries before paypal, so the protection that it offers buyers is a great safeguard. However, I truly hate it as a seller, the recent policy changes have totally screwed everyone over. egay is pocketing 10-15% of YOUR money and screwing you over whenever some scammer says a package didn't arrive... even when they have unpaid item strikes, etc... I also highly doubt eBay would turn away from auctions, they have totally fucking conquered that market, why would they give that up? Why switch to Buy-it-now when they already have eBay stores, eBay express, and Half.com for that purpose? I think this rumor is absolutely false. What I think would make things really interesting is if Google started up an auction operation, they undoubtedly have the means to make it work and provide some stiff competition. And it would most likely be done the right way and perhaps with a little bit of ethic...

Dude, I don't care what you say in regards to how "great" PayPal is, it should not take two months to get refunded a PARTIAL amount of any money you are screwed over by shitty sellers.

Quite a sad story about my brother when he was 15 selling his PSP close to when they first came out in Australia because he wanted money to buy a guitar and the seller saying it didn't come with a memory card which he sent with it and getting a full refund (out of my brother's money) and never returned the items.

Personally my experience with Paypal has been pretty decent, all though a few times you feel hopeless the customer service is terrible and if you don't meet a certain criteria there's no way anything will get resolved at best you're likely to receive a generic e-mail that some guy has sent because he's too lazy to write out a proper one. But if you take into consideration all the money I've saved over the years using eBay it's FAR greater than what I've lost. It's hard to look at the greater picture when you've been screwed over by some prick though.

As I've mentioned before, just read this:

www.paypalsucks.com

Some true horror stories!

Ebay tried that 'Paypal only' thing on all auctions here in Australia saying that users only acquire the online payment services provided by PAYPAL, but the ACCC (Australian Competition & Consumer Commission) put a stop to that saying that it wasn't fair for an Ebay owned company (Paypal) to be the only option the buyer/seller has for sending & receiving funds, it's a total conflict of interest... but you now HAVE TO at least list Paypal as an option when receiving funds for auctions
Why are a wise man & a wise guy opposites?

It's always very hard to tell with these lesser known/hyped Swedish singles. The B-side is awesome so it's definitely worth hunting down, but in Sweden you shouldn't pay more than 300 kr for it.

How much does Edge Of Sanity - Nothing But Death Remains (original Black Mark) CD usually fetch? There's a copy at a local used CD store for like $7 and I'm wondering if it's worth picking up for trade stock...

I think it can go to more than 60€. It's very rare and these early BURZUM records always sell for expensive prices, not considering that sometimes CD prices reach LP prices or aren't that far.

Misery - Restless Strategy

Except for the value I'm also wondering how good this swedish rarity is? What does it sound like?
