I was going to post the second Thrash Queen album here until I stumbled across Semen of Satan's (http://www.metal-archives.com/band.php?id=44170) demo from 1984:

http://www.mediafire.com/?nkzizmyiyzv

I'm not 100% convinced about the authenticity, but it's charming in a retarded way. I have to admit that I've listened to it more than I should have.

If anybody wants that second Thrash Queen, let me know. Holy shit, it sounds like the guys from the Killer Fox "Orgasm of Death" album suffered massive head trauma and recorded a new album. Totally unlistenable, and not even in a good way. :)

Could someone please reupload this? I need to know how this compares to their track on the Metal Meltdown 4 comp.

Hahaha at Madness Reign! Is this guy serious?! The cover art is hilarious too. Imagine if aliens come to earth, asked about heavy metal and this guy was around at the time.

Thanks! OK, I’m not saying this is genius or anything, but I actually like it and could see myself buying it in the future. I’m actually a bit surprised by some of the comments I’ve read about it. The biggest problem is the singer, but I don’t think the music is sloppy. Rather, it has this sort of purposeful sense of chaos that actually reminds me of BROCAS HELM's second LP. And why would anyone think they weren’t metal? Maybe my opinions are warped a bit by the other song I’ve heard. Well, I’ll let you take a listen and decide:

Whoa, awesome. I didn't know there was a MM4. The first three are such turds, are there any other cool songs on 4?

After listening to the Odyssey EP the other day, I felt the need to read through this thread. Glad it didn't get overlooked in this thread. Worst thing I'd heard in quite awhile. True, it may not be fair to even call it metal- more like lite glam/AOR- but the level of ineptness on display earns it at least a mention. Te vocalist is so flat and has such a thin, wispy voice that it makes tracks like 'Becky' and 'Gamblin on Rock n Roll' painful to sit through. Add in lyrics so simple and juvenile that a 2nd grader could write them, add in some horrible little keyboard synths, and you're on your way to a TOUGH listening experience.

Think I'll pass on sampling the files; I barely keep up with listening to GOOD stuff these days :)

That's a full length not an EP

Sorry for the confusion. I was referring to the 'breakaway' MLP/EP by the US band Odyssey, released in '85. The South african Odyssey sounds really cool, the US Odyssey sounds really awful :)

Yes, but then I think all of them have something to offer (Max Planck on Volume 1, Jinxx on 2, Cyperus on 3...) My favorite track from Volume 4 is definitely Teacher's Pett. Killer Queensryche/Heir Apparent type stuff.

I dont think this is of much interest here, but Rhymes Of Destruction's (Belgium) 1995 demo is one of the worst & most hilarious demos I ever heard. Imagine shmaltzy rock solos trying to be "epic", constant whispering-vocals with sudden grindcore-alike growl-outbursts over Windows 95 Mah Jongg Keyboard music. The Flight Of The Bumblebee cover is just pure perversion. Also the last track is a whopping 20-30 Minute. Don't know how else to describe it, it's a nasty accident. What were they thinking??
