Wasp (August 1984) came along time after the first wave of heavy metal, and the NWOBHM, POWER metal, and thrash metal movements... I mean along time later (August 1984). WASP was when I was in 11th grade, and my taste are along those lines, of the bands that Bob Muldowney was championing (bands in the vein of Motorhead and Venom) back when Kick Ass monthly was the internet !!!!.

Nah, no WASP. Instead of LA styled heavy metal, I went more for the bands that played crossover hardcore punk rock, instead. Back in 1983/ 1984. The first Discharge LP, that came out in March 1982, really got me motovatied towards that style until, it went belly-up by late 1986.

The Rods - Wild Dogs
Metallica- Ride the lightning
Acid- Maniac
Mercyful Fate- Melissa.
Abattoir- Vicious Attack
honorable mention....Anvil Chorus- The Killing Sun
