Same here. I want my ignorance back!

Has anyone ever heard the band HAZ from Venezuela? Coverpix can be found here. That '83 debut looks pretty promising, wouldn't you say? And what about songtitles like "Sacrificio Infernal" or "Momentode Horror" on the 2nd one?
?

the 2nd LP looks more like some Accept/Scorpions frontcover, however if I see it in a 2nd hand shop I would give the debut a try (collector's dream which does not come true very often) ;)

Not LP but CD:
Goatlord - Reflections of the solstice
Seems like the original on Turbo records. It's only €7,50 so normally I'd pick it up anyway, but I haven't been this broke in years.

Last week I bought the Nuns Have No Fun EP by Mercyful Fate. Just noticed that it doesn't have an "A" en "B" side, but an "A" and "1" side. Pretty strange, because other Rave On records do seem to have an "A" & "B" side.

Someone else who's copy has this? It's the second press with black border.

Impulse: Gladiator LP. Can someone tell me more about this one. The "metalpage description" isn't that refreshing. Thanks in advance.

I think the Metalpage-Review explains it quite good !? Wheres the problem ?
Anyway, it's good Melodic Heavy Metal and covers more or less the whole range. Fast songs, midtempo songs, ballads and some neo-classical elements.
Imagine something between AVGUST (Russia), KREYSON (Tchechoslovsakia and FATUM (Poland).
The Production is not that good (especially the drums) but OK for that Period and Country !
Musically this Album is not a must have, but i like it very much like the 3 Bands i mentionned above ! And of course it's one of the rarest from Eastern Europe, one the few from Bulgaria and has a nice Cover too.
So i would say this Album is VERY NICE TO HAVE !!!

Y bands ...

is anybody familiar with some of these? I suppose them to be a slabs of fillers, I night be wrong, though - YDI seem the most promising.

YALE BATE – On the Prowl
YDI – Black Dust
YEAH BOP STATION – Upfront
YOUNG BLOOD – First Blood
YOUNG TURK – Do Not Disturb

Anybody tracked down Y thrash band from 80's until today? :)

He he.. Straightening out all the ???s alphabetically - very scientific 8)
YALE BATE and YBS were utterly gay Swedish sleaze/aor. Avoid like Super-AIDS. The rest I'm not sure, although I see YDI quite often in the cheapo sales bins, which is not a good sign.

YOUNG BLOOD are quite good melodic Heavy Rock, sounds a bit like the first SHY.

The YOUNG TURK-EP is called "Do you know where your daughters are?" and it contains average Glam Rock/Metal. The Guitars are nice by times, but the Singer is horrible (typically glam) .

Thank you for info, guys

I supposed they are not top-notch bands, else there would be some hype. This YDI may be some 3rd class heavy power or sth.

sleazy heavy rock from 1985 ... Where were they coming from? hey, that's even worse than being 3rd class heavy power. That's probably undead, that's no class at all.

Youthquake? But I haven't heard them yet ...

I have a question about Zoetrope - Life of Crime LP - did it originally come with cover "with holes" (the band members are on the cover, but the pictures aren't on the cover sleeve, but on the lyric sleeve ... if you know what I mean :) )
