The problem with your theory is that Kruiz weren't constantly going the whole time--their genre switches were based on band breakups, personnel changes, and various ex-members juggling the name around, I guess a bit like the Saxon thing. The original lineup broke up, and Mr. Гаина chose not to be too creative with bandnames when pursued his metallic urges with new guys. And when he stopped eventually some of the older members picked up the name again.

Haha, why even bother to argue whether KRUIZ or a thousand other Russian bands were sell-outs or not. These bands and their fans for that sake probably had other things to care about than "keeping it true". Besides, I do not know of ANY band discussed on the whole forum who can't be accused of selling out in any point of their carreer.

I bother not because I get off in pointing the finger, of SCORRRRNNNN at them, but because I find it very interesting to look at the circumstances that create these situations, even in the USSR. Thanks for the info no KRUIZ, though! I don't mean any disrespect to the members of them or any other once-HM band.Metalipeiklo wrote:Haha, why even bother to argue whether KRUIZ or a thousand other Russian bands were sell-outs or not. You lucky bastard. Their debut is a killer album. I want to get it myself but haven't seen it for sale anywhere.great_knuthulhu wrote:Does anyone have any extra info on the band Novy Zavet? I got their album "Halleluja" from 1991 last week and on the first hearing (right now) some of the songs are actually really good. The LP is on Melodia.

Yeah? I didn't have clue how rare it was. I just saw it for sale in great shape. Best looking Melodia album I ever saw from back then. A guy had some Russian albums and I bought it just to go with the Magnet - Dies Irae LP. Got some Vysotsky as well, so it was a good day. Paid no more than 200NOK for the lot.Black Axe wrote:You lucky bastard. Their debut is a killer album.
