Ok, I need that Viper. Does it exist in physical format? No entry on Metal Archives or Discogs.

There's very little info on them out there. It's olde NWoBHM from 1982 & there's no physical release, though it may have been on cassette back in the day.
You can get the 5 song 2021 remaster in digital here:

amazon.com/Turn-Waff-1982-Viper/dp/B09BMDKLSJ

It's quite unusual music with those upfront keyboards giving the band a rather distinct character apart from most of their peers, particularly as the keys player usually shares the riffs rather than sitting back & chording in the background to add colour. Perhaps some of Colin Towns' work in Gillan is a reasonable contemporary comparison.
Hope this is of some interest/help.

VIPER (Yorkshire, UK)
Phil Pendlebury - Vocals, Guitar (Intruder, The Waff, Together)
Steve Levitt - Bass
Andy Jones - Drums (Intruder, Dealer?)
Tim Lofthouse - Keyboards (Intruder, The Waff)

Tracklist :
1. Used (03:00)
2. Poison Clover (03:49)
3. I Don't Know (04:52)
4. Sharing Your Love (06:44)
5. Tea Time At Timmy's (03:58)

Thank you. They reminded me a lot of TRIARCHY, great stuff indeed. Will wait for a physical release, surely this is good enough to be issued on vinyl or CD.

Cheers for the beans spilt, 'kit. In theory I should have known ROCKET FROM THE CRYPT and GRAND MAGUS, by stretching it into non-euclidian territories perhaps also ROSS and THUNDERHEAD, all the rest is new to me so no way. Cheers for VIPER, too.

And Bon playing recorder is a revelation. Wow!

No worries Noisenik. I wouldn't feel too bad about not recognising Ross or Thunderhead as those are both songs from fairly unmemorable LP's. Once you take them out of those original settings they burn far brighter.
BTW, I'd forgotten to point out that that's Ross The Boss tearing it up on the track by The Thunderbolts, a one-off project between Ross & J.P. from The Dictators & a bunch of Spanish musicians. The album is inconsistent overall, but it has some great moments like 'Heart Attack' & it was a cool choice for them to cover Thin Lizzy's 'Hollywood'.
