A friend of mine had a metal radioshow when he was 16. It was great!! Unprofessional and half improvised. You could visit the radiostudio, you could call in requests, you could win promocds, ... It was just what the metal-loving youth in our hometown needed. Then that small independent radiostation was bought by a larger corporation and all juvenile enthusiasm was banned from the air. Bastards!!!
He sometimes mentions he would love to have his own show again.
Has any one of you considered doing an internet radio feed?

I probably should have posted this a long time ago, so it wouldn't seem like I was tooting my own horn, but I really like Metal Lessons Radio. It's definitely not as obscure as all of you are used to but they have some cool guests. Last week's show focussed on NWOBHM and they had an interview with Bryan Holland from Tokyo Blade, author Darryl Keck talked about Satan, and then there was me! DJ John O'Brien asked me to talk about one of my favorite bands that I feel is underappreciated so I talked about Jameson Raid. There is a replay on cmsradio.net tonight at 9:15 pm EST and Wednesday at 2pm EST.
I usually listen on HardRockin80s.com on Thursday nights at 8pm EST. You can find me, the DJs, and other listeners in the chat room there at that time talking about the song selections and other stuff.

I've been thinking about this recently, and I certainly understand why no one would want to listen to someone else's winamp playlist. However, there are cool programs out there like SAM Broadcaster which allow listeners to make any number of requests. Then it becomes more of an interactive, music sharing sort of thing. In one hour you might hear a couple songs from one listener, then some of your own requests, then maybe a few random tracks if no one is requesting at that time, followed by some obscure compilation tracks that I requested, a few NWOBHM gems from nightsblood, some US metal demo track that you never heard from doomedplanet... you get the idea. With this in mind, the notion of a Corroseum radio station sounds pretty awesome.
I usually listen the "Old School Metal Show" in hardrockin80s.com.. a show who play full NWOBHM material but after 7 years is out of the air now.
The same thing with the "Hammer of Justice" show in the argentinian http://www.heavymetalradio.com.ar , i think is out of the air.
Now i usually listen a new peruvian metal show online, and the sunday 1 hour of Metal in FM.
pd. Peruvian radio is SHIT!.
