Cheers for the tracklist. Beautiful, beautiful. I managed to fail to recognize ZAPPA this time, bcs I have this on vinyl and even listened to it not so long ago. OK, in autumn sometimes. No reflection in memory whatsoever. I think I should be worried. What do you prepare for the next outing? You set the stake pretty high.

I wouldn't lose any sleep (dirt) over it. It's probably coz that song is totally acoustic, which wasn't Zappa's usual sound, so outwith the LP it sounds less obviously Zappa-esque i think, apart from some of the phrasing in the solo melodies. And because i sandwiched it between two uptempo pounders it was likely 'disguised' to some extent.
I find Sleep Dirt to be one of Zappa's more challnging records, & i never quite embraced it the way i did so many of his other albums, but always loved that title track, probably in part because it is so unique in his catalogue.
