Well, he has what you cold almost consider the "typical US-Metal" voice. Since so many of these bands had very similar vocals I've never been able to pick a fave. I like the style though, and Conklin sure is great at what he do. Of course he is no Ralf Scheepers by a longshot 8)

Conklin managed to combine perfectly melody and aggression. Can't recall many others who sounded like him. Only maybe the vocalists of HANKER and BLOODSTAINED, who are from Greece.

Well, the man could do anything he wanted with his voice. Three different yet so indicative examples: Harder than steel, King of terror and Wings of rage. I believe that there are no more than 5 people worldwide who could sing flawlessly in so many different vocal styles.

My last girlfriend reckoned Parduba was a better vocalist than Conklin....she also liked Celine Dion ,Kylie Minogue , 50 cent ,Dimmu Borgir ,Meshuggah and thought that idiot from Fear Factory's clean vocals were cool...'nuff said....

Strongest of the night. It's dark, gloomy, doomy, it's all and it's fantastic. But all songs of this albums drives me mad. Fucking one of the best Power Metal albums ever.
Searching for a LP Version btw...

WAAAAAAAAH! I didn't know that, sounds bloody interesting!!
From where did you order those? Why two Picture LPs? If it's official, has the sound been remastered/improved?
Sure thing I need those!!!

I have no further information. I cannot think it's from NWN!, or does Yosuke make secret releases with no advertising?
All I know is what I have written. Can't await those, I hope they'll do that masterpiece justice.

I'll get it from HHO Records in Germany, email is sb1970@t-online.de. I don't know other distributors...I heard from this release by accident!!

My vote goes to "King Of Terror". Being part of the "Satan's Host Worshippers Club" I think the whole album CRUSHES, but that song particular is the BEST OF THE BEST. Listen to it WITH HEADPHONES ON MAXIMUM VOLUME after emptying a sixpack of "enter German or Belgian" beer and you know why.

I'll have to second here. King Of Terror is the winner.

The picture LPs are being released by Horror Records from Denmark.

Same music on both discs, just different artwork.

And yes, it is an officially sanctioned release.

More info can be found at www.horrorrecords.com

Label owner Azter will be in Australia for the next month with Denial of God so it mightn't be possible to order straight away, though hopefully he ships it out to some distros before he leaves.

Hope he appreciates the free promotion!!

I wonder exactly what "remastered" means here? I've always had the impression that it's the muddy mix and guitarsound which messes up the original. What exactly would remastering do to improve this? Any sound techs out there?

Well a 'proper' remaster is done when you have the different channels on their own tracks and then you can apply all the new mixing techniques to make it sound better and more distinctive. Therefore a muddy mix can very easily be improved by today's engineers. The guitar sound can be fixed with multiband equalizing, compression and subtle filtering, to a far lesser degree.

So if these guys have the master tapes, and they're not just running filters on the songs on the whole, and they know what they're doing, yes you might hear a significantly better production on their version.

Helm rules! Well, yeah, we may witness "significant" miracle.

But why picture discs? aren't they notorious for diminished sound quality? and made for the wall decoration?
