Overkill + Xentrix in Dublin this Saturday. Really looking forward to Overkill. Not too pushed about Xentrix though.

Saw them last weekend at the UTH festival. They were not bad at all, just not my style as far as thrash metal goes.

Yeah, Xentrix are a band I would never listen to at home but I guess would be good live. I'll check them out anyway. Cheers.

That kind of thrash is always better in a live setting.

Yeah, Xentrix turned out to be fairly good live. Chris Astley is a good frontman and they seemed to enjoy themselves. Overkill were excellent. Really good entertainers and they got a good response from the crowd. Plenty of old songs too. Good gig.

msp wrote:Saw ROYAL HUNT last night. I'm sure they are used to playing to thousands in Japan and Korea, well last night they played to about 200 in London. To be fair it was a good show and they still gave it their all.

Next week: MGLA & Grave Miasma
I saw Royal hunt here like 7-8 years ago in a small pub. Not even 100 in the crowd, still a good show.

They have a bunch of good songs.

Lars can't play the drums anymore, and Hetfield doesn't have the voice anymore. Seen them around in 2005, and left after a couple of (old) songs, because they sounded nothing like they used to.

Morbus Chron tomorrow in Brussels. Necrowretch is playing too.

*edit* It's a no go...driver's too tired, and my car broke down. Bummer. I'll see Morbus Chron at the end of the year on the TRYPTIKON / AT THE GATES-tour.

I saw NECROWETCH a few weeks ago as on opening act for MERCYLESS, they were great with a such a heavy sound ! It was a great discovery.
