I can see the resemblance but I don't think that's it. Unfortunately I just found that in a Google image search so I don't have a better scan. However, here is a link to a better pic of the HMH cover:

And looking at that I just noticed another one: Cristal Y Acero - Espadas De Cristal

Both are quite noisy speed metal, but I wouldnt call them out of place there.

Since it looks like no one has more to add on the first pics I posted, let's try the original version of Heavy Metal Hunter that doomedplanet posted above (booklet front and back). I already identified most of them.

1st column:
Explorer - Exploding / Stormwitch - Magyarorszagon / Renegade - Total Armageddon / Excalibur - Generacion Maldita / Darxon - Killed In Action

2nd column:
Leviticus - The Strongest Power / Trilogy - Next In Line / Trouble - Warrior / Ritual - Ritual / ?

3rd column:
Robertinho De Recife - Metal Mania / Wraith - Naked Aggression / Black Knight - Master Of Disaster / ? / ?

4th column:
Bronx - Welcome To The World / Crystal Knight - Crystal Knight / Mystique - Black Rider / Victim - Power Hungry / Evo - Animal De Ciudad

5th column:
Zen Venom - From Another Planet / Danger Zone - Victim Of Time / V/A - Heavy Metal Made In Italy / V/A - Sword / Triton - Triton

The Heavy Metal Drill booklet also shows the same wall, as does the Heavy Metal Drill tray but overlaid with the following 45s:

Druid - Four Curses / Sacrifice - Street Fighter / ? / ?
Virtue - We Stand To Fight / Torsten - King Of The Nest / ? / ?
Taipan -Taipan / Odin - Caution! / Exciter - All Night In Red Light / Rex Vector - Breathe Fire

I would love to look closer at your first pictures, but these old eyes cannot even make out the covers that have been discovered due to the low resolution!
