Municipal Waste and Merciless Death are both very good thrash/crossover bands. If you guys want to see thrash keep on living, you must allow youngsters to play music they weren't around to enjoy the first time it broke in the scene.
Example: Anekdoten are a progressive rock band very remiscent of King Crimson. When King Crimson were establishing this style, the dudes in Anekdoten weren't even born yet. Yet their music is as authentic and relevant today as King Crimson were in the past, because they've assimilated their influence, it has touched their heart and it colors what they do today. Not poseurs.
Same with Merciless Death and stuff, these people live it, even if it's not 1985 anymore.

I never even heard of them until I saw them open for GWAR a few months ago....I thought they were pretty good and seemed to follow a lot of the 80's thrash traditions......then they had some losers from some lame as screamo band come up and sing their last song with them....so Im not totally sure about them.

Yeah ,I heard some pretty gay stories about them as well from people in the Richmond scene ....real poser bullshit stuff ....there are bands of 20 year -olds playing good thrash ,but they ain't one of them....I think the fact that a trendy bullshit label like Earache (yes they are and always have been -despite the odd classics that they've had on their roster over the years...) signed 'em speaks volumes...and the Repka artwork .... it's all smacks of being just a bit too "packaged".....hell apparently he's even doing covers for rapper cunts like Necro now....

Necro was involved in the NYDM scene for ages before he started making hip-hop albums & pornography.

So ,what's your point? It's ok because he used to play Metal? If anything that just makes it even worse...

Er, no. I'm not even into the thuggish stuff like Necro. It's your insinuations that all rap is crap & Repka is selling out by painting covers for rappers that I find risible.

Ok I'll stop insinuating then ....
All rap is crap and Repka is a sell-out for painting rap covers.
There , now I'm saying it straight out.

Yeah you got me -Zieg Heil!!!

If you can't see the irony and subtext in that then you should really give it up....speaking of which , if you're gonna get all riled up about people slagging off rap music ,then I suggest that you perhaps find something else to do with your time other than reading message boards dedicated to classic Heavy Metal....
