I just think that "important" is not the right word in this circumstance.

Important or not, all Sabbath-albums with Tony are worth spending your money on. Check out "Headless Cross" and "Tyr" first. You have good taste in metal, I can't imagine you not liking them
Dito that! The best vocalist they ever had ... :!:

Pff, I dont know. Motorhead, AC/DC, first Bathory, most arcane NWOBHM, most doom/death/black are all things I dont listen to very often, if at all.

Not only this, but for me those two are the best material they ever recorded and among my best 10 metal albums of all times. I really can't imagine myself without having heard Headless Cross and TYR. I could write a small essay for each track included there. Proud, mystical epic metal at its finest.

Oh man! You've missed some sublime stuff there.

I'm not even sure what things I have listened or not by Led Zeppelin. Besides a handful of songs, I don't really like anything by them. It's not like I think they suck or anything, they just don't do nothing for me.

Guess it's about time to go shopping then! Just having turned 40 'n all, you never know when it will be too late. (I probably HAVE heard a couple of the songs though, isn't)

Today's headphone digestion at work

Just yesterday I bought Deep Purple In Rock
Missing essential Rainbow albums (1st and 3rd) and I love Rising and certain songs of Down to Earth. Haven't heard several Black Sabbath or Motörhead albums either.

Bit the bullet and bought Seven Churches CD on my way home from work. Fuck yeah, it's killer stuff! Can't believe I've went so long without hearing it

Would also agree with the Black Sabbath stuff. I heard a few songs and it wasn't for me so I never listsned to a full record.

I do not think it is so important Morbid Saint, decent stuff, but far from essential.
