btw. this is the part from the Metal Archives interview with the Solstafir guy:

12) Is it correct that the 3 members of FLAMES OF HELL are brothers?

No only two of them. Tha band was (is) Sigurður Nicolaison - Bass, Steinþór
Nicolaison - Guitar, vocals and Jóhann Richardsson - Drums. But the Nicolai
brothers are acually 3, and the 3rd brother was acually supposed to be the
singer, but that never happened for resons unknown to me. But he painted
the cover of the album. He is acually a well known painter, lives in France
(where he oporates mostly I think) and Spain, and has helt many many
exhibitions all over the world. His paintings are all rather dark and
morbid.

Nowadays everybody is searching for this LP but has anyone really seen it in metalmarkets, distribution lists, auctions etc? Would be damn interesting to get some more info.
besides the info I got in the interview I did (posted on Metal Archives) I couldn't get any more information.

I heard first about this band in 1992, when some guy from Iceland did some tapetrading with me and I got this LP dubbed. Unfortunately this recording had a horrible recording quality. I asked this guy from when it was and who recorded it. He mentioned to me the names of the guys and 1987 as recording year. But no other info did he know about them. He also mentioned some years later that the Solstafir guy is far-away-related with them, so that's how I tried to track down an interview with Flames Of Hell.

In 1996 I did a tapetrade with Jörg Brauns/Cothurnus mag where he wanted a copy of my recording, and I wanted a copy of his recording. Mine sucked, and his lacked 2 songs but was recorded in better quality ;)

Haven't seen anything else by Flames Of Hell until 2001 when I got that LP by the best trade I'd ever done.

By any chance, did you trade it for a Slayer bootleg?

if I remember right (don't quote me though), then it was Costa/Iron Pegasus who traded with one Impiety guy. But neither Iam sure nor so I know in which direction the LPs went.
