what I don't get - when people here are smart enough to recognize those as bootlegs, why are people on ebay who are able and willing to pay insane money (and both are apparently of the weird CD collectors type ) so stupid?

and why did the auctions from the first seller end so low in comparison? seller didn't label them "fanclub", "reissue" or anything else fishy.. is there some stupid "must have" reflex when something has "original first press!!" all over, no matter if true or not? (rhetorical question that is.. )

Maybe it's just me but I don't find these things surprising at all.

2. the nanitensammlerin seller is easily recognized as suspicious because of the high volume of bootlegs he sells, which he lists over and over again. And he does not say "first press" in his auctions. By the way, he also has other accounts like nimmit and guardian_2007.

I just had a bad experience with the Pyracanda bootleg. I made a photo for you, it may helps to identify the original.

BTW is there any living person who could help me how to check the authenticity of the first two EXUMER CDs??

I also almost bought a Pyracanda CD buy it now for 20€, until I saw that the seller also had those mausoleum classix for sale.

about the exumer, there was a small discussion in the musik-sammler forum

a member asked the seller of the exumer bootlegs and this seem to be the matrix codes of them

Hello metal maniacs and collectors!

Its getting more and more worse who rip-off the metal szene with 1 to 1 copies of old originals and rarities! Some years ago where spread thousands of poor made bootles of classic albums of Agony, Anacrusis, Hexenhaus, Sortilege... around! But it was easy to see the differences between the original and the bootleg versions!

Now there are much more titles around and they are professional made with identical matrix numbers and same CD prints!

I went to the Metal Assault festival at the 14th february and saw guys from the greece label "No Remorse Rec." who sold boxes of verry professional bootlegs of bands like Protector, Griffin , Risk, Incubus and much more!

This guys are also selling all this stuff online at the webstore www.noremorse.gr for prices between 12 and 25 Euro

As for the Mania bootleg can anyone tell me the difference between that and the Noise Records original pressing?

Considering that No Remorse is a legit label (and even registered here) it is very sad to see that they have sunken to this level, I am almost ashamed to own some of the No Remorse CDs.

I had bought Dealer cd and if thats a official reissue is very bad, they could have extracted from the original vinyl (since they might not have the masters) but they didn´t because the sound is taken from a very low bitrate, mp3 or something. For the other releases i never heard, except for Randy...

If you can do that it would be great. I need to double check my CD because I got it recently so it might be a bootleg.

As for No Remorse and the May Linn, Dealer, Randy stuff by all acounts it is legit. Not really great re-releases but legit anyway. It's the same case as with Sonic Age/Cult Metal Classics - they sell bootlegs at their store but their own releases are legit.
