Check Dark Black from the US, album released by Stormspell in 2009. One of the best new bands I heard in recent years.

Hmm, what's the point of posting a cover? (even though it was a great cover) From what I remember their original material seemed quite standard and not few Fates Warning... but maybe I should revisit.

There is a shit load of early Queensryche-influenced bands, so I'll focus on (early) Fates warning, which is easier to handle. Once again not too late stuff...
