the record will become soup bowl and the cover will be as wavy as the baltic sea
I know, i know, that could happen, but not necessarily. Most of them i'll open anyway when i'm in the right mood sooner or later, so that wasn't the most serious comment there. I never had any damages on records that were sealed until recently, maybe i was just lucky, who knows.
I think I will never buy sealed records again...

Only sealed records are true

All my rare records are sealed copies and they're locked away in a vault. I have photographs of the covers pasted on peasant records and MP3s on my iPod.

Too bad 'Black Mourning' won't be on the vinyl, but can't have everything :)

I don't buy unsealed copies anymore, rare or not rare. And the few that were opened were sold years ago. It's sealed or nothing for me and, no, I don't like CDs or mp3s either :)

You only get to hear the songs at lesser true friends' places, while secretly smirking. You're right though, really should get rid of those damn unsealed copies in the collection.

I do it like that really. I anyway have no time for listening and digital music like CDs or mp3 are Satan....

I have two little children and a hard job so REALLY no time left for listening. In the week-end I put a bit whiskey in a glass and take the records outta the shelves and enjoy the smell of my single malt whiskey together with the smell of the sealings or the few open parts in sealing and adore the covers. And enjoy the pictures of the bands with those long-haired 80's styled guys . THAT MAKES ME HAPPY.

I know I should write this in the other thread about collecting where Alan wrote that lot of stuff....

You do know it's possible to listen to the records while drinking whiskey, right?

Is the wife original or reissued? Are the children mint? And does looking at long-haired men with very tight trousers make you happy? :P
