DaN wrote: The "Hyperspace" 10" EP and the "Anytime, Anywere" CD are a bit more electronic/techno-ish but they still have the same heavy guitars, raw vocals and sometimes-fast-sometimes-epic style, so fans of this debut should definitely check it out.
Thx for the info DaN

Thanx for the cool & honest feedback - I really do appreciate it since it's such a special album for me and it's always interesting to pick the minds of others about records like these.
I thought I'd just as well rip & upload the Hyperspace EP and Anytime Anywhere CD too:

A bit more clean & electro productionwise, but definitely in the same vibe & atmosphere as the debut, and with vocals at least as brutal as before. Songs like "Wasteland", "Scanner" and "Exterminator 666 Does Not Answer" should make it worth a download.

Normally I wouldn't put music like this in Poisonoise since it's even less "Metal" than the s/t debut album, but since they were sort of a unique "3rd-genre" act and I'm looking for opinions from a Metal-fan-perspective, I'm still gonna post it here.

So far I did not listened to BLOODSTAR.How the music sounds like? Is this something like MORDOR ? If there's so much electro sound I do not disturb my ears.

I'm not sure which MORDOR you're referring to, but there's certainly nothing "electro" about the debut (see OP). Simplest description of that one would be Motörhead-meets-Godflesh-meets-"Hammerheart"Bathory, but again - it's an unfair comparison. Just download it and let me know what you think - I'm sure it won't disturb your ears too much :)

Jesus! This album is fucking addicting as shit!! Maybe because of how heavy it is and because it sounds like the soundtrack to Sega Genesis games with a guy screaming in frustration... At least, I think so!

Some the leads are really wicked too, especially around the 5:00 minute mark on the s/t track - Solid and catchy! I constantly find myself listening to this on my way to work or while I'm on the bus, very solid!!!

thanks for these, quite up one of my alleys!

positively easy to obtain as well. (apart from that 1st vinyl maybe) - just snapped the 2nd CD for 5 EUR and thought I made one hell of a bargain - noticing a moment later it is on amazon for about 1 ct plus postage

I first heard Bloodstar on Swedish radio back in 1989. Don't remember the name of the show (it wasn't Rockbox atleast). I believe they also played "Primitive Future" with Sepultura. Also read a review of the album in Metal Forces back then as well. Was looking for a copy of it for 15+ years, but ended up getting one in a trade a few years back. For some reason I never got around playing it until earlier this year, but I've been listening to it quite a lot since then.

I think that was the alternative/underground show "Bommen". I remember they offered the album as a prize for a listener's-competition.

(Great to know this album once was exposed to 8 million+ possible listeners in my home county back in the days :D )

Fantastic band (a man & a woman if I remember properly), very different from anything that was released at that time (even Godflesh).

Talking about Bloodstar makes me think of another dark sick band (and again very different from the rest): GGFH. That was something!
