If you decide to come, let me know and I'll give you tons of plugs to visit the city, etc.

Cheers!!

Yeah I know Lorcan - although knowing that he'll be there might make me want to stay away (just kidding  ).

I've been to Montreal before, but not since 1991 when I was 15... and never in the heart of winter! I don't remember much (besides finding a lifesize cardboard cut-out of Pavarotti on the street which I hauled back to my hotel, got the key to my mother's room and tucked it into her bed to surprise her on her return). So some tips would of course be great... cheers!

I really won't know for another couple of months if I can manage it, but seeing PA's first 'overseas' ( :P ) gig would be something special. I also really enjoyed Blood Ceremony the two times I saw them and of course I'd like to see Cauchemar. I don't know Dark Covenant at all - you'd recommend them, yeah?

The Dark Covenant demo is fairly good Fart. They sound like Candlemass, Solitude Aeturnus etc. I think the full length should be out soon on the Emanes Metal record label.

Haha, early December in Montreal hardly has any snow - if you want to see crazy snow banks, come in January or February! It's a challenge to walk around in those months, but I still manage to do my record shopping. Less people = more rare stuff for me hehe!!

Pagan Altar's first overseas show is a huge event, it's going to be absolutely insane. Every doom fan from North America will be traveling there!! And Dark Covenant is really good - it's probably Quebec's first real doom metal band (swedish style). The December 4th gig will be their first show ever!

Funny about the Pavarotti hahahaha!!! But yeah, I'll give you some places to stay at, to eat, to visit, etc... just PM me when you are ready. Cheers!!

Cheers Annick... with your help, this could end up being easier to manage than I'd hoped.

Now if only the money-part could be as easy to sort out, haha!

I love doing stuff like that haha. It's always a pleasure. But yeah the money part sucks! At least it's still pretty far away...

Who else from this forum is coming to the gig?

REVELATION - the legendary Maryland doom band, will be replacing Dark Covenant. Dark Covenant has band members problems, so they will be playing their first show at a later date.

Doom metal fans rejoice! It will be the very first time that Revelation will set foot on Canadian ground!!

GOOD NEWS!!! Pagan Altar will perform a special 2 hour+ set, which will include "Vol. 1" in its entirety; featuring their occult visual theatrics - a first since their early 80's days!

I really hope for you guys and girls that they don't dissapoint. I've seen them here in Belgium last year and it seriously was one of the worst things I've ever witnessed!!! So cross fingers!
