Agreed, this was pretty awful shit.

I love it.

Actually I digitalized also Christblood demo and Baphomet "Children of Doom" demo but now I found that latter one is officially re-issued on CD.

I don't mind the crudeness, but it would be cool discover something that's a bit more original than yet another Bathory/Sodom/Sarcofago mashup. Tips?
Thats good combination of mashup I think. Next tape in order to be digitalized will be Brazilian ATHRON "Slaughter of Angels" demo 1986. I never saw it on internet so maybe it intersting for death-heads. But I think its far from originality (hints to Vulcano and Genocidio).
And then its time for alltime classic MANTAS "Death By Metal" demo. My tape has different recording than those on the various Mantas/Death bootleg LP/CDs.

Deathster, I hope you don't take my neagative comments entirely the wrong way; I appreciate hearing stuff I never knew about before, and the time you spent ripping it; but I can't give you anything but my immediate reaction to the stuff I hear. No offense.

Weird, I could have sworn I posted a thank you for uploading this. I agree with Daniel though, although I appreciate the time you took to put this up, it just doesn't click too well with me.

Well I tried to listen to it yesterday, I couldn't go past the 2nd track. It really sounded horrible. The solos defied any description and the drums weren't much better. I do like my metal to be evil and aggressive, but this is just bad, not even entertaining.
Thanks for sharing it though, it's one for the archive.

Hmm... yeah I was aware that this forum may not be right for black/death metal as US Metal, East-Euro worship and NWOBHM is reigning here.

Well, I like this amateurish, primitive stuff. From the previous comments I was fearing it'd be as hopeless as Semen of Satan or even UHF, but it's quite a bit more listenable. Surprising how clear the recording is, & how there's so little info about them online. Thanks again!

Ha, whats wrong with Semen of Satan? :) I kind of like those primitive and ugly recordings... Angeldeath demo 86, Ghostrider, Treblinka demos, Bestial War, Blasfemia, Parabellum, Salem demos, Poison demos etc etc. So if Wind Of Mayhem is so bad then you guys despise HH demos, Blasfemia, Bone Awl, VON, early Beherit too?

It took me over 2 years to get this original tape from 1st owner who got it directly from the band in 1988 or so and I digitalized tape in local radio studio. There was NO info about that band in internet, I am aware of only one interview the band made late 80s.

Oh no! That's not fit to be mentioned in the same breath as Parabellum! As much as I enjoy filthy lo-fi blackdeathrash, the Death to Christianity demo is almost useless.

I listened to UHF again earlier today. I was amused.

VON demos are godly and among my favorite ones regardless of genre. I don't hate this sound per se, it's this particular recording that's awful.

Thanks for sharing. If my memories are good, they were from the south part of Belgium, in the area of Charleroi. I'll check a few Belgian zines from that era for more infos, and I'll let you know...

Hmm yes, wasn't overtly excited by this demo either (although it's hard to judge ofcourse after just one listen).
About the genre/style/niche of underproduced extreme metal, I am a big fan. Many of them show such bestial agressiveness. So cheers for deathster for feeding us more of that.

Yes, they were from Charleroi but I think one guy relocated to Canada and one guy is dead (?). Old Danish fanzine Blackthorn would call them baby metal but Blackthorn worshipped mostly Bay Area thrash in 1987/88 and for us death-heads their opinion does not count :) . But seriously: it is primitive, not very technical but its not a joke or bedroom band. I think this band was more known in Colombia than in Europe as I have read old Colombian death bands hailing them at the end of 80s. Well, I find this recording very appealing and thought its the right stuff for Bathory fans.
