Following the demise of old-school Swedish behemoths CARNAGE, vocalist and living Death Metal legend Johan Liiva formed DEVOURMENT. These extremely rare tracks form the only surviving recording documenting the band's existence; an impossibly dark-sounding rehearsal session featuring two songs of Swedeath, done the ancient way. Also worth noting is that some of the other band members later went on to become Furbowl. A true necrotic feast in its own right, and a slice of musical history craving its place in the collection of every Death Metal enthusiast!

From the murkiest depth of a cold, misty and rat-infested Uppsala rehearsal garage hark these purveyors of arcane Death Metal lore. Ancient cult and chugging-riff nirvana, in the vein of Asphyx and Morgoth, with a smattering of total Reifert-inspired filth and a subtle psychedelia in the guitar lead work not unlike that which was once heard from daring acts such as Carbonized, Abhorrence and Afflicted in their prime - all performed in the pure, unrepentant old-school way. First of all, I wish to congratulate the promoters of the Kill-Town Death Fest. The fest was nothing but awesome! Can't wait to head to Denmark for the next edition.

Last night I received MIASMAL full length album master and ... it rips!!! This album will be released in April, before the band's US tour.

Lp Version will be released through Me Saco Un Ojo Records and DR.

CD version (which will include all the trax the band has ever recorded) will be handled by Dark Descent Records from the US.

Krypts have returned, and no amount of warnings could save any nearby lifeforms from the lethal weapon that is this 7". Pure heaviness, even more brutal vocals harking to the days of Rottrevore and Disembowelment and pure riff malevolence. Streaks of dark and eerie melody emerge from under the wall of sonic brutality. The guitars have got even heavier, and the bass sound carries the weight of a ton's worth of dead hippos and about as much filth. This literally drips old-school evil in a way that has to be heard to be believed. The songs remains suffocating in delivery and unrepentant in their simplicity, yet epic and grandiose in scope. Make no mistake, this is the sound of death done right, and it only makes us wonder where they can take things next
