It seems like if Metal Archives are sometimes quite incomplete. The "Caught In A Vice" demo wasn't even listed when I first checked the band's entry. I know some people say that Metal Archives suck but so far I haven't found a valuable alternative which covers everything.

Us Greeks use the term 'US metal' when refering to bands like Jag Panzer, Omen, Helstar, Liege Lord, Gargoyle, Heir Apparent, Manowar etc. US power metal if you prefer. I've also seen a lot of people using the term in that sense.
So when we say 'US metal' we do NOT mean any style of metal played by bands that are coming from the USA.

Either way I see no reason for someone to 'hate' the term. It reminds me one of Fucking Amal's legendary statements when he was saying that he hated the term 'epic metal'.

The worst part about the Metal Archives is that they have a pretend "system" in effect, to which they hold. There are countless Hard Rock bands listed on the site as "Heavy Metal" based on the favorites of a select few and false information is often listed based on the opinion of these same mods, which is then regarded as factual by those using the site as a reference.

I once got into an argument with a moderator (the name will not be listed) on a completely different website over what sub-genre Running Wild's "Pile Of Skulls" falls into. He refused to acknowledge any part of what I had to say. Then the next day I notice that the sub-genres listed on the bands Metal Archives page where changed and the same guy was credited as having the last update...

Yeah, and that's the difference. I tend to stick to sub-genres when labelling a band rather then anything atmospheric or location based simply to avoid opinionated labelling.
