There's also an incomplete lyric for "Já mizérií osudu jsem pronásledován" on The Jilemnice Occultist. I'm guessing that the lyrics were just pulled from metal archives, because it's the same issue there. I only found this out because I was working on a project of translating the lyrics to both albums with the help of a fellow Czech Master's Hammer fan.

NWN boots? :? Whatever. The band has gone nuts imo. Why oh why do they have to reform? I don't like reunited bands recording new stuff. They've all failed and they will all continue to fail. Old Master's Hammer material is godlike and eternal and it can't be topped.

Not all of them failed...Manilla Road for example. The majority of reunions that fail are thrash metal bands. Asphyx and Beherit just put out two of the best metal albums in a decade this year.

I'm only half convinced by the new Beherit, but what I've heard of Death the Brutal Way has been great. I'm kind of dubious about the return of Master's Hamster, especially after hearing Storm's Airbrusher project...

I like the Eurodance-Schlager Mix of the "Airbrusher" song with the nonsense german lyrics. I nearly bought the digipak becuase of that videoclip.

I'm not too impressed by the last Asphyx album. Haven't heard that Beherit album; need to check it out asap.

Master's Hammer - Mantras

Nothing about this new release yet?

http://www.mastershammer.com/mantras.html

I ordered the CD version earlier today, but couldn't help searching the net for a download, and it's already out there. I checked it out, and it's very interesting... definitely sounds like you'd expect an "older" MH to sound. The pictures of the guys on the new website are great as well. You can imagine a bunch of older musicians just having fun and recording an album for the hell of it. I like it so far.

And yeah, some folks have been pissed about the remake of "Jama Pekel." However, if you look at the website, it seems to be intended to be a "senile remake", so it makes perfect sense in the tongue-in-cheek humor of Master's Hammer.

Anyway, I can't wait to get my copy in the mail.

Also, if you guys haven't seen this yet, check it out:

http://www.mastershammer.com/demos.htm

Click on a demo cover for a huge image gallery of old unseen MH photos. Great stuff that put a huge smile on my face. :)

By the way, the demo page says "Listen to all songs in almost CD-quality flash player, print images freely, skilled ones can grab files to burn a CD for their own personal pleasure, why not - play it loud, but don't sell it." If any of you want to download the demo MP3s, the location of the MP3s are in the following XML files:

So far I've only had a quick listen to a few samples on their home page and I must say I REALLY liked what I heard - I'm possitively surprised on all fronts. So much that I don't think I wanna spoil this album by downloading it before buying. More rants once it's in my hand..

Well the samples of the new album sound promissing. Perhaps not in the high class of the two first, but still nice
