Same here, this is incredibly good. One of the best French metal i have ever heard, it surely doesen't get much better than that. Thanks for sharing this one.

thank you.this is very good, classic 80s mid paced metal that breaks into maidenish speeds and tempos sometimes.Vocals reminding me strongly of Nightmare in a more epic way

I can only agree with what's been written before. VERY classy Maiden-Metal, strange how this hasn't surfaced before. I'm thinking I should throw an email to Peter/Fils Du Metal and tip him off on a possible future release?

Yeah, do it, but you really have to try hard to persuade him i think, 'cause he doesen't seem to be very pleased with his sales of his latest releases. Would be a shame, if the great THRUSTER-LP ends up as the last release from Fils du Metal

How about a feature in a future Snakepit issue? The ball is already rolling on my side as I'm in touch with the bass player....

The stuff is REALLY different from the other French bands...Never a French band has sounded so much like an Anglo Saxon act I have to say....

No need to hesitate ...and if Peter bails, why not make this recording another one of those bonus Snakepit vinyls? :D

I agree. This kind of Maiden-plus-urban-aggression-Metal is so much more expected from an American band of the time than anything European. The accent of the singer still makes it distinctually French though..

I don't agree that it's completely different from any other French band, Der Kaiser's first LP has the same Maiden-vibe, in fact I think the overall guitar tone is very similar here, just that Slaughter has a far superior vocalist.

Thanks for sharing!! Downloading now.

Edit: Yeah, great stuff. It indeed has a "Kaiser"-vibe to it in some places with a lot of Maiden twin harmonies. I really hope this will see a release one day.

That last song also resembles Cloven Hoof "a Sultans Ransom" moments, especially the vocal lines; great stuff!

I just did some random clicking around at the France Metal Museum-site and found this in their zine-archive: http://france.metal.museum.free.fr/revu ... age_18.htm
There might be more to be found in other zines - I haven't looked much further..
