Well first I tried to put the whole discography there but I got error saying "too many poll options" so I cut it short like it is now. I dunno if I could've included Dance of Death but I liked it better that the options ended in year 2000. Round number and all

1. IRON MAIDEN
2. KILLERS
The rest of their albums pale in comparison.....

Seconded!
I must admit this poll makes me cry. I cannot vote for the whole 80's and that's unbearable.

One of my first albums i ever bought was The Number Of The Beast, so for me has a special meaning plus i think it has maybe just one filler, second fave has to be of course their debut, no one at that time came up with that unique sound..from Fear of the dark to the latest i just lost interest, pretty much dead for me...

As was already said, (and quite typical) this is one of the first bands that got me into Metal along with a few other obvious more popular bands. My favorite album is hands down "Piece Of Mind" with "Powerslave" in a close second. Like Iordan said, I really don't mind the Di'Anno era Maiden, AKA: (the first two albums" either but when I think Iron Maiden, I think Bruce. Not that "Iron Maiden" and "Killers" are bad albums, but I find them highly over rated. "Somewhere In Time" and "Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son" were odd albums that just didn’t quite “click” for me until 3-4 years after I discovered the band. Now a days, I enjoy all of the first 9 albums. Definitely a classic band that even today puts on an enjoyable show.

The first 7 albums are stellar, each one for a different reason. Somewhere In Time - Piece of mind - Iron Maiden my absolute favorites.

SEVENTH SON OF A SEVENTH SON!!!!!!!
To me Iron Maiden is the best band that exist, and SSOASS is their best album, so this is the best album ever to me, so what.
Then I'll choose Powerslave or Somewhere in Time, to me those three albums are the best Iron Maiden albums.

I've never understood all the buzz around Dickinson, he's imo one of the most overrated metal singer, a great showman yes but a great singer no.

Fair enough, but the number of poll options you can add is limited:
You have tried to enter too many poll options.
Only Dance Of Death could be added.

It was added because of the chronological order, not for any other reason.

I voted Killers because it has everything a metal album needs: stellar songwriting, great vocals, superb playing skills, 80's production, lot of atmosphere, headbangable tunes and some of the catchiest songs on earth: Killers and Purgatory!!!

He's indeed a bit overrated; I love all the Dickinson albums tough but he's nowhere compared to Eric Adams for example. For example: He sounds like a screaming duck on Live after Death.
I think the last Maiden albums are brilliant pieces of work especially the last one. Bought the picture disc set of it next to the cd because I f*cking love this album.
