I love loads of 60's and 70's bands, somewhere near half of my close to 2000 LP:s are from that period.

You should ofcourse note that those 60's and 70's LPs he has are all by pop and disco bands.

I seem to remember Daniel having an awesome collection of of both heavy metal and non-heavy metal stuff, I'd say the guy has pretty good taste as far as it comes to music.
Back on topic I'm capped at the moment but after 2:00AM I'll certainly download this if I'm still up and come back with an opinion.

Eh? What are you talking about? Pop and disco? YES, I like some 60's and 80's pop a LOT, but the bulk of my 70's LP:s are prog, folk and rock, so I don't know what the fuck Black Underpants is crying about - or do you want a list or something you cunt? At least I'm not hiding behind some internet name.
And for Avenger, get your head out your ass. You're one to talk, at least I'm proud to look like I love metal, and spend time buying vinyls off other places than ebay. Oh and why don't you take a look in the Top Items thread.

No, they're not, I listened to them, and I don't need another band where everything sounds like it's pieced together from ripped-off riffs from throughout the 60's and 70's.

Btw, I don't mind how many retro bands there are, everyone can make whatever music they like, but don't give me shit if I'm one of the 5 people of hundreds who bother replying to this thread just because I don't like it. When I started playing guitar I was always listening to 60's and 70's bands, though mostly Sabbath, but the point is I made a fucking effort and put a lot of time in getting to know those two decades, so I know what the fuck I like or not.

I guess that aggressive tone of yours might work a little against you though (not that you're alone in this...). Just a thought.
I think this "fighting fire with fire" tendencies of some of you expose makes the Corroseum forum a tad un-nicer (and I like nice bloopy guitars as well as humans) - not a big problem but something to think about maybe?

I agree with Daniel mostly. I liked some of Witchcraft, but I never put them on nowadays. around the time they came out I checked out Norrsken, Graveyard and all the other Swedish stuff doing this kind of sound. by no means bad, I'm just not impressed anymore. I hadn't heard the Trouble cover, but I don't think it's anything to write home about either. in principle I'm a sucker for well done 70s vibes, but these bands just get old really quick for me, no idea why. speaking of 70s schtick though these guys might fit the bill

Blood Farmers' vocalist btw. and in case somebody out there still hasn't heard of them, Ogre (US) were THE superior 70s influence-channeling heavy band. and these guys seem to be more than 'pretty good' as well:
