Erm, are you telling me you've got all the rare stuff you talk about on vinyl?
Are you the tyrant, who cast them to the sea?
One day you'll be among the dead.

I guess it is no harder than to accept that Stormspell is a CD label.

Seriously, I have addressed this question ad nauseam already, but here we go one more time. It is a complex decision to me depending on many factors, the most important of which are:

- Currently I live in a small condominium, already full to the brim with CDs, and I have no available space to store vinyl pressings.

- Because of this I'm not interested in trading it either, which unfortunately seems the only way to move the significant part of it.

- 90% or more of the customers live overseas. USPS shipping prices/custom fees are killer and people want to buy locally, but there arent many wholebuying dealers, mostly traders so I cannot cover the market and cannot sell the stock (see above)

- The only current LP plant with affordable prices is in Europe

- I cannot release an LP, load it in my car and drive to KIT or any other decent European metal boerse. If I could I probably would be a vinyl label. Unfortunately it is impossible to do it from here.

Find me 250 preorders and I'll do it in a heartbeat. Everything else is just an idle talk

Cool, coincidentally I just finished updating the distro so there are some cool things for grabs, especially while the package deal 6CDs for only $66 with free shipping is still valid /end shameless promotion

Can't a European label press a vinyl release of this?

Some good stuff there. If only I had 66 dollars to spare...

BTW: Why does the EF band live album distro info mention Andy LaRoque, he wasn't in the band at that stage.

Probably not. The main reason is I've had some problems with unhappy distributors regarding free bonuses as patches, and since I cannot afford to make patches for the entire pressing and give to distros for free I'm not making "die-hards" anymore.

Besides, there were plenty of regular forum dwellers which badmouthed it and constantly questioned why is it called "die-hard" and whatnot, so I got fed up with it and somehow lost the drive.

Not at all. I just try to avoid buying CDs when I can by being patient and looking for the vinyl version but ofcourse I can't afford it always. If someone's to reissue SOLAR EAGLE discography on only on CD, I won't try to catch the originals instead.

I think your wish may come true. The bad side of it is that it is retrospect aka vegascds that may be releasing it...

I checked out those Jonah Quizz songs on myspace, man they are great!!! I love this forum! :D

The cover artwork looks great enough to warrant a LP release (I'm sucker for skulls and skeleton drawings). But I'm all fine with CD. I'm not a vinyl junkie afterall.

Think I've to start saving up for my next shopping list (inclusive of the Anacrusis CD). Hope some distros like Sentinel Steel or Shadow Kingdom can have this item in stock soon. Sorry Mr Stormspell, but shipping cost that you charged for my country is just too expensive (I remember it's around $16 registered mail for 1 CD :( ).

Man, can't wait to have my hands on this CD.

Hmmm, sorry for my ignorance but would you care to elaborate a little bit more about the bad side with Retrospect/vegascds?
I've bought a few CDs from him before. Yeah, the Kilbourn CD that they put out looks like a shoddy work (but I've seen worst from other "labels"). The rest were some bootleg CDs (eg, Adrain) that I got off his auctions. Those are cheaply made boots and I had expected that already before buying. Only thing I'm not too happy is the Virgin Steele CD that I bought from him, it's a Russian pressing and he didn't mention about that in his sales. :(

Both SENTINEL STEEL and SK will have copies once it is released.

However, I doubt Denis or Tim will send a single CD to Eastern Europe or South America for cheaper as $16 is what it costs at the postal office for sending ONE CD via registered airmail. Despite in Europe where registration costs like 2-3 euros extra and is only a sticker. In USA the registration fee alone is flat $11 on top on the actual shipping cost - you can refer to www.usps.com in case you dont believe me. US registered packages also require special packaging, messy water-soluble paper tapes, and dont allow usage of printed labels, which makes preparation of such very slow and tedious process, in addition to all extra forms one have to fill too.

That's why it is advisable to buy more CDs and save on a combined shipping costs, because I can send up to 20-30 CDs in an Express EMS small package for flat $27.95 , which comes fully trackable and secure to any part of the world.

And of course if you elect not to pay via Paypal, I can ship any way you want, which means one CD will cost only $5.50, and up to 20-30 CDs will be flat $12.95, but will ship via unregistered airmail and will be at the mercy of your postman.

I cannot take paypal payments for such shipping methods to your part of the world because it has no trackable means and if it gets lost buyers conveniently "forget" it was shipped at their own choice and rush to open gaypal disputes and get their money back, and I cannot afford that. Hope this clears it out.
