A vinyl version would be awesome and I'm sure you'd have no trouble to sell out an edtion of 500-1000 copies to fans and collectors pretty fast. Remember that packaging is important though. Too "computer-made", modern looking sleeves are usually frowned upon, while lyric inserts, bio, stickers, patches and other extras for the vinyl maniacs exclusive to the LP version is always appreciated.

I wouldn't put full versions of the songs on the website until the album is officially OOP, but some clips would be a good idea to get the buzz going.

Hi -

Thanks for the feedback to the question of Vinyl verses CD. I had pretty much figured we would release the album as a vinyl run - maybe 500 limited edition run. What do you reckon would be the recommended retail price for this? It will have 8 tracks, (one never ever released in any format), totalling about 45 -50 mins of heavy metal.

Cheers in anticipation of the feedback,

Best wishes,

Tim

Hello,

Thanks for the continuing feedback - what will you pay for a 12" vinyl record. 8 tracks. packaged as you describe? Say a strictly limited 500 issue.

If music will be of quality reported then it will sold out very quickly. 500 isn't that large quantity. I dare to say that it would sold out on a few festivals like KIT is.

I guess 15-20 euros depending on what's in the packaging would be a decent price. Other opinions?

For a fresh release it would be a decent price indeed.
